I quit my full-time job when my youngest was 1 yr old. Now my equation had changed. My balance was full-time stay at home mommy. I loved being home with my children but would find times where I missed the work life. I had a work career for so long and that was my identity for a long time. My balancing act was thrown off. After 2 years, I came across a direct sales company. Of course, my intention was to buy some unique, great products, but I was finding myself looking at the independent consultant opportunity. Stay at home mommy that could get out and meet new people, work when I wanted, and earn some extra income...why not?? So I bought a kit and got started on this new path. Was this the solution to the perfect balance? It very well could be! I was still at home with my children, but could work as much as I wanted, and had a new career with extra income for all the kids' activities! Now is it easy to find yourself unbalanced....definitely!! I have to stop at times and reevaluate my equation. But the good thing is, I can. Less work time & more family time...I can do that. Some extra bills that I need to pay off...I'll need to focus a little more on my business for a while...but I can do that. I've found that there isn't a perfect equation to that work/family balance, but that the equation is different for everyone. You have to work out your own equation and figure out the balance that works for you. Your perfect balance provides you with a happy work life and a happy family life. Do you need to make changes to that balance? Everyone will at times and if you are looking for opportunities to give you the flexibility to make those changes...give me a call. I would love to discuss it more with you.
You have a family, friends, house to keep up, activities, and a career to pay for all of it. Can you maintain a healthy balance between all of them? That is a big question so many have to answer all the time. When I worked away from the home full-time, I thought I did a pretty good job of balancing all my responsibilities...but, I always felt like maybe I didn't have enough quality time with my children?? Did they feel like I was available to them enough? Were they spending to much time learning from daycare providers and not their mommy. I loved working away from the home and having that adult time to meet new people, catch up with co-workers, and my children had the opportunity to be in a social setting with other children, but I still would get that fear that I wasn't properly balancing my time. Is there a perfect formula for balancing your time...50/50, 60/40...who has found the perfect equation?
